World War I Exhibt ~ Open House
Saturday, April 11 at the Burdett Mansion, 7 Mishawum Road, Woburn
Please join the Woburn Historical Society for an OPEN HOUSE to launch their WORLD WAR I EXHIBIT on Saturday ~ April 11, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to honor the 100th anniversary of the beginning of WWI in 1914. The US joined the war in 1917 when over 1,400 men and women from Woburn served as part of the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) and on the homefront. On display are US, German, French, Italian and Canadian artifacts.
This is a great educational opportunity for young and old alike to learn about the Great War and the sacrifices of our Woburn men and women.
The exhibit will also be available for viewing Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon through the end of June.
This program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
